Random Old Lady, a.k.a. Barbara Shaw fires out her highly original, supercharged songs precisely composed with the energy of a freight train. She sets down a groove with her thunderously rhythmic guitar style, echoing off the sides of canyons trailing the cloudy smoke of her bluesy harmonica, with her wild, dark, contralto banshee improv singing in the wind. But it’s the crazy storytelling and goofy lyrical genius that bends your mind into seeing new vistas and finding hope in chaos that gets audiences laughing and singing along. Barbara Shaw has been a songwriter, choir director, accompanist, (guitar, harmonica, kazoo, spoons, percussion, *djembe) and performer since long before most of you were born. With super improv and people skills, she can work a crowd of any kind. Currently she’s added some stand up to her act - You never know what's coming next with Random Old Lady!!
