Michaela Slinger

Michaela Slinger is a “legendary songbird-in-the-making” (Dan Mangan) examining the interstitial spaces between love, loss, longing, and uncertainty. Her forthcoming EP ‘ENDiNGS’ was recorded at Protection Island Studios with David Vertesi (Haley Blais, Hey Ocean!) and Jonathan Anderson (Aidan Knight, Field Guide). Her sophomore record ‘This Can’t Last Forever’ received acclaim from RANGE, The Georgia Straight, Daily Hive, and CBC Music, and was written with collaborators including Khalid Yassein (Wild Rivers) and Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen). She was nominated for Pop Artist of The Year at the 2024 Western Canadian Music Awards.

Michaela has opened for Dermot Kennedy, Donovan Woods, and Michael Bernard Fitzgerald. She has been the cover of Amazon Music’s “Fresh Folk and Acoustic” playlist, and spotlit by SiriusXM’s Poplandia program and CBC Music’s ‘Songs You Need To Hear’. Her first cut as a songwriter came out in November 2023 with Lili Ann De Francesco’s ‘the girl’ (Universal Music Group), which was performed live at the 2024 JUNO Awards.
