DOUR
Hailing from Vancouver, B.C., the quartet channels the city's dark energy into a raw, hypnotic, and emotionally charged sound. Gritty and urgent, their music explores themes of inner conflict, anti-establishment tension, and control. Fronted by Zak Salehian’s harrowing vocals and razor-sharp guitar work, the band is driven by Patrick Hamil’s relentless percussion, Gabe Jacob Ferman’s grounding bass lines, and now Moksh Amin on second guitar, adding even more depth to their wall of sound. Influenced by Joy Division, Television, Gang of Four, The Cure, and Sonic Youth, DOUR bridges the gap between post-punk’s past and its future. Their debut EP, Rudiments (Jan 2025), introduced fans to their dark, dreamlike sonic world—a sound some have dubbed "gloomwave." With sold-out shows across Vancouver and performances alongside Tropical Fuck Storm, DZ Deathrays, and Omni, DOUR is quickly making their mark. Their EP and their most recent single,Numbers builds anticipation for their upcoming debut full-length album, set to be released in 2025.
This is just the beginning.
